USC Child Interviewing Lab
The USC Child Interviewing Lab, located in the USC Gould School of Law, identifies means of encouraging children to provide truthful information about violence and abuse while minimizing suggestiveness and trauma.
We interview children for the Los Angeles County dependency courts, train interviewers, and conduct research. Dr. Thomas D. Lyon, the Judge Edward J. and Ruey L. Guirado Chair in Law and Psychology at USC, is the director of the Lab, and works with post-doctoral scholars, post-baccalaureate lab directors, forensic interviewers, and undergraduate research assistants.
